Weather

Snowing hard, temps in the twenties at the car, not much wind in the trees

Snowpack

Harder layer underneath 6-12 inches or so of light, fluffy storm snow

Avalanche

Stomped on the top of the roll kicking off some sluff that hit the lower angle area at the base of the steep section and set off a small slab in the storm snow. This ran 30 feet and stopped. Crown was 6 inches deep or so. R1 D1. Second avalanche was from the same slope but further to the north where the steep section on the ridge is shorter. I skied the steep section and the storm snow cracked at the lip of the roll and slid for 30 ft or so with a 6 inch crown. R1 D1. I was not caught or affected by the moving snow and skied out to skiers right.
