Weather
Sunny, relatively warm (unsure on temp at the parking lot), but wind blowing up the couloir from the north. Snow in the sun even on the north face was getting a bit melty and warm. Would not classify as slushy at least around 10:30 or so.
Snowpack
Fresh loose snow on top of old, solid, hard snow. The fresh snow had about a 1/2 inch wind slab on top in most places. Some isolated pockets of a thicker wind slab up to 5" thick. These were very small areas, and were not connected to each other.
