Weather
The temperature dropped a lot while we were out skiing and snowfall increased when we left it was skiing over an inch an hour and there was two to three inches accumulation. Winds were easterly and light.
Snowpack
There was a decent freeze overnight and when digging down on a northerly aspect below treeline the top four to six inches were frozen into a dirty crust. The crust was supportive and we were not punching through with skis or boots. Below that there were damp rounds that could be made into a fist. There was not enough accumulation to tell how well the snow was bonding but the crust was rough and the snow started warm and wet before cooling off so lets hope it bonds well.
