Weather
Snow intensified throughout the tour. Winds were light and had little affect on falling snow.
Snowpack
New snow continues to fall on a fragile snowpack. An estimated 7" fell during the day today. Warm temperatures prior to the storm created a slight hardness change from the new snow and the decomposing snow from last week. Long column tests produced easy propagating failures on the buried layer of early season facets. The Thanksgiving storm and today's snow sit above that faceted layer. Collapsing was observed on a northeast facing slope.
Avalanche
Very small sluffs out of steep rocky slopes on the edge of highway 550.
