Clear skies around 10am, began snowing lightly around 11am, and departed with continued light snow around 12:45.
Snowpack
Snow pit dug at approximately 11,200 feet on a South-facing aspect of the aforementioned ridge line due West of Black Lake. Approximately 15 degree pitch. Snow Pit Observations: Top 4” F -- Light snow, rounded Middle 3' 4F -- Light snow Bottom 4” P to ground -- Very solid faceted snow Approximately 3.5-4' snow depth
Avalanche
Small slide, approximately 2 feet deep, observed on the east face of the peak. Appeared to be old, with new snow covering the slide path.
