Avalanche
On a west/northwest aspect we observed a small Avalanche below treeline. Caltopo showed the pitch that had slid as barely breaking the low 30s in angle. Crown was observed from a distance to be roughly 0.5m in thickness. Blocks of snow in the debris were mostly 5-20cm square (measured along one edge). It appeared to either be a natural slide, or more likely (due to the low angle and location) a remote trigger from many of the nearby tracks from skiers. The Avalanche broke through what appeared to be the last 2 storms, but did not rip to the ground layer from October that many of the recent slides have. The slide path was roughly 30m long by 20m wide, stopping as the slope briefly flattened.
