Snowpack

In this area, the snowpack is entirely weak below treeline and capped by temperature and sun crusts on east, south and west-facing slopes. On shady slopes below treeline, you could potentially trigger a small loose avalanche on slopes steeper than about 40 degrees. The near treeline snowpack has settled to about a meter deep and on northeast-facing slopes that get wind-loading, there's still a 4-finger midpack slab from the Thanksgiving week storm sitting over our November 25th persistent weak layer. I got a propagating result on the 25th tap at the top of this fist-minus layer.
