We spent the weekend at the Hazel hut. Thursday into Friday it snowed buckets non-stop making for some serious trail breaking up the ridge. We chose to stick to TL just below 2000 meters and found some sublime snow with no wind effect. Dug a few hasty pits and a couple hand shears along the way and found the snow to be surprisingly stable with little to no reactivity. Got to watch some avalanche control happening on London ridge from our high point on our second day and saw a big powder cloud go down to the road. Driving home, looks like crowns were on E aspect.
