Fine day at Harvey, observed no signs of avalanches on our travels. Road is in good shape to mclatchie junction, icy/snowy driving/snowmobiling beyond. BTL to 2000m was moist snow averaging 30cm Above 2000m was a breakable crust 5-10cm thick, uniform over all aspects and elevations. Becomes verglass near ridge tops at 2400m. Moist snow underlies the crust from 2000m-2200m Recent storm snow is well bonded and has been distributed by the wind leaving lee slopes stripped entirely, and deposition zones with up to 120cm. Evidence of a recent natural avalanche cycle in isolated alpine features up to size 2. Most imitated in fan features of large headwalls. Crown depths of 20-40cm with widths stretching entire alpine features. Overall firm up high, crusty in the mid, and niceothermic down low where there’s not enough snow yet
