Amazing quality low density snow can be found in polar aspects well protected from the winds in the Alpine. The strong north winds affected exposed terrain and created stiffer snow on top of older weak layers; reactive to riders. On southern slopes reverse loaded zones can be found and by midday a widespread natural avalanche cycle was observed in steep solar alpine. One size 1.5 skier accidental was also observed.
