A few rumours saying K country isn't in form but we found some great conditions on the purple-heros traverse. 20cm of unconsolidated cold smoke was covering the melt freeze crust on all aspects providing very pleasant skiing. No weaknesses found on solar or shady/north aspects from the pits we dug. Noticeable amount of loose dry activity coming off all steep aspects but nothing of decent size. Good to see a bunch of people out enjoying the sunshine and some stable skiing on steeper aspects.
