BTL a fairly reliable crust existed anywhere the sun could effect the snow from the day before . In the shade, and more polar asp. I found dry snow and a supportive snowpack. Anywhere the crust was not supportive and in thinner snowpack areas i felt large settlements and impressive shooting cracks. As you gained TL, the crust became breakable on mellow solar slopes. ALP mellow solar, dry trending moist surface snow sat above a "squishy" temperature crust that started to breakdown around 1400. The skiing from ALP to TL was good and felt somewhere between tips deep powder and corn skiing. BTL the skiing was breakable crust, anywhere exposed to the sun. Micro aspects, shade , and terrain features kept the snow dry at all elevations. I found it a fun challenge to find good skiing the whole way down ! Of note, I was surprised by the lack of proper moist snow, although I was on quite mellow slopes all day. With the power if the sun, I would have to assume at least the top 20cm became moist on steeper slopes based on some of the loose wet observed ! On average, the crust I traveled on was not reliable enough to be bridging the snowpack below me , and I was glad to be on mellow terrain away from overhead Hazard.

Recent avalanche activity observed to sz.3. most notable was a large deep persistent slab near big bend from last 24 hours on ALP SW asp. Running full path. Other recent slab avalanches mostly solar ALP and generally sz.2. Loose wet to sz 1.5 on steep solar all elevations. Sorry no photos !
