Door 1 and 2 lines had no evidence of slabs. Lower door 3, the snow density changed and showed shooting cracks and slabs while traversing. The group adjusted route plan and stayed in the more dense trees. As slope angle decreased, one Skier entered lower Y chute below treeline and skied into flattened terrain forest. Avalanche started significantly uphill and ran just behind the skier without contact. After regrouping, two people from another party appeared and stated they may have triggered it from above, along with two additional crowns higher up. So Y chute avalanche was either a remote trigger from the skier down low, or the party above. Slab bed surface was the sun crust from three days prior.
