We're hoping that the forecasted snow will show up tomorrow. We found hard snow in all exposed terrain and sheltered areas had only 20cm over old surfaces. The last storm (two weeks ago) had north-easterly winds, counter to the usual direction. Now there's sastrugi in unusual places and north through east facing slopes are scoured. That surface has been facetting in the cold weather and we are interested to see how the new snow bonds.
