Weather
Light snow showers started around noon and continued throughout the day. Low level clouds and a socked in sky made it difficult to see any of the surrounding terrain.
Snowpack
The snowpack was thinner than other areas of the zone with HS ranging from 80-180cm. Lots of variability depending on aspect and elevation. A hard crust has formed on all sunny aspects and a nasty breakable crust as you trend to shadier slopes. I dug on a west aspect at 11700' and found a very typical/weak continental snowpack. In 120cm total depth there were a few mid pack slabs, with one being super hard. Once you punched below this, it was nothing but super weak depth hoar. See profile for more info.
