Weather

Blustery day with scattered clouds becoming broken as a snow squall moved through around 1230. Winds increased significantly during this time making for a breathtaking walk back around Mines Pk towards the summit of the pass. No significant snow accumulation while I was in the field. Significant wind transport was observed along the divide on Berthoud as well as off higher peaks on I-70 and Loveland Pass while I was travelling around today.

Snowpack

Colder, recent snow sitting on top of melt forms with ice layers intermixed. Below the most recent storm snow, the snowpack was moist and isothermal to the ground.
