Weather

Light snow, Air temps -3c, Light winds from W, Overcast. Approx 8cm new snow.

Snowpack

Pit at 10,100' NE. HS 109cm. Problem layer is a 4F weak facet layer 70cm above the ground, with a 1F stiffer layer above. CTM SC on that layer and PST 20/100 end. Experienced one small wumph skiing below that elevation. Another pit at 9,900' on and E aspect showed a HS of 150cm. The same weak layer was 100cm below the surface and covered with thick 1F windslab. ECT X, though the persistent layer was weak (4F) below and has well developed facets to the ground.
