Avalanche
At 11:15 am while skinning up Mines Peak across the pass, I saw a skiier trigger an avalanche just North of the summit of No Name. This was ablove treeline and on an East Aspect. The skiier dropped in and immediately caused a wind slab avalanche to break. He/She skiied out of the slide to safety as the avalanche picked up additional snow and sped up before running out. It wasn't too big (R1) but would have carried the skiierover some very dangerous looking rocks. The skiier and a partner later rode down a path lookers left of the slide path. It looks as if this group of skiiers was intentionally triggering avalanches along the No Name Cirque/Pumphouse Drainage. This is the only avalanche I saw today but there were about 3 or 4 other similar looking slides near this avalanche.
