Blowing mainly from the west with localized gusts coming from every direction. The winds were erratic, even in the semi dense trees. Temp @ car was 4

Shallow- 45 cm in pit 1, 70 cm in pit 2. Pit 2 was in a very sheltered area. Pit 1- 15 cm depth hoar capped by a decomposing crust and 28 cm of new snow Most remarkable was a small 1mm NSF layer mid storm. CTMSP, ECTN8. This layer was predominant in both pits. We did limited tests due to the wx
