Snowpack

Looked at Engineer B highway path. HS varied broadly from grass and 40-60cm in the upper start zone, to 1-2m in the lower track. A mostly right-side up snowpack with one large jump in hand hardness (from 1F to 4F) 35cm from the ground. No results in snowpack tests. Basal depth hoar/facets were rounding. Also dug on NW aspect at 11200 feet, in a wind drifted area on top of the Engineers. This area had strong over weak structure, but again was not reactive in snowpack tests. There was also a dirt/tree debris layer 80cm from the ground after the strong wind event in mid-December.
