Weather
Snowing hard most of the day, around 0.5 to 1.0 inch per hour for much of the tour. Near treeline our tracks were covered between laps from wind + snow. Temps were approximately 20F, winds were light with moderate gusts.
Snowpack
Storm snow was landing on 1.5cm sun crust, even at 11,000ft. This crust was unsupportable on skin track but supported us on ski down (thank goodness!!!). Storm snow was heavy near treeline, observed minor cracking in windy areas, mostly appearing to Attached a snow profile pic. Initiation of fracture (RP) but no propagation at 30cm down (a little below the sun crust layer).
