Windy, warm, and sunny.
Snowpack
Today, I traveled in heavily trafficked terrain up and down a popular skin track. I didn't observe any cracking or collapsing but travel very cautiously. The slab below treeline continues to break down and I experienced trap-door riding conditions at low elevations. Sun and warming is getting to the snow surface at lower elevations and a crust was observed.
Avalanche
Avalanche activity is widespread in the Ophir area and the age of the crown varies from today, to during the storm last weekend and seems like every day in between.
