Weather

Along southern edge of storm passing to the north, it was warm, calm winds until late morning then winds ramped up and snow blew around ATL and swirled in open bowls, overcast sky cover confined over mtns until late afternoon.

Snowpack

HS 115cm at S. Colony Snotel site. February 2nd faceted interface rests, 46cm down, between "pencil" hard slabs where snowpack tests failed upon easy to moderate incremental loading steps. Basal weak layers 20-47cm above ground were more stubborn but failed under deepest part of slab upon hard, or heavy, incremental loading steps.
