Clear and calm. Temperatures started in the low teens and steadily increased to the mid twenties by midday.

Snowpack

Inch to a trace of new snow on McClure. The persistent weak layer buried on February 3rd is composed of 1mm rounding facets on the Northeast facing slopes in Bears Gulch at 10000'. It is down 70cms from the surface and is noticeably less resistant (4F-) than the 4F to 1F slab above. Small column tests produced a moderate sudden result on this layer. Large column tests produced no propagation or initiation (ECTX times 2). Total snow depth in Bears Gulch is 160cms. No crust at the 2/3 interface or at the 2/9 interface. There was a thin 1cm crust buried on 2/9/2020 on the more westerly facing slopes back down to the road.
