Prospect Basin, Just south of the North San Juans Putney Weather Station. Above Timberline, Elevation ~12300. East Aspect . D2 - R3 SS New/Old Interface Crown ~20". Maximum Width ~150' Length ~300'. Trigger unknown probable natural but this is a high traffic backcountry skiing area. Time was 10:30 when we spotted it, looked fresh. I didn't see any evidence of tracks. Temp was 20 F.
