Avalanche

Center of crown at 39 deg 15' 01", -106 deg 06' 49" (WGS 84), at 11765' elevation. Slope is facing south. Crown is more than 400' wide and ran about 565' down the slope including 10' - 20' into the trees. Crown is estimated to be 2' to more than 4' in depth. Avalanche was triggered naturally at about 1:00 pm. Day started out very cold (below 0) and warmed significantly during the day to between 20 and 30 degrees, Mid-morning the sky cleared and strong sun warmed the slopes.
