2 days skiing north aspect chutes and couliors. First accessed from the top, dropped a few cornices in. Soft snow all around, no wind slab anywhere we were or looked. Some small sluffing out of steep rocky terrain, remaining small and ending in the track. Mountain goat did some slope testing for us and had eyes on.

Pretty calm weather over the past 48 hours in the alpine. Winds mainly calm, light gusts. Off and on snow throughout the days, total accumulation of 2 cm. Skies were obscure for times then long periods of clear skies. Lower south aspects experience wet loose avalanches on anything steep or dark coloured.

Test profile on north slopes before first couloir. Top 15 cm F Then a series of stacked old 1F wind slabs that have faceted nicely into a very supportive reassuring mid pack. Did not dig to ground. No test result on compression tests. No result on deep tap test above facet - crust interface.

Observation of a wet slab to ground on a SW aspect ridge about 2 km away. Very similar looking to the wet slabs next to the highway by the big bend.
