Went up Connaught with eyes on Nikki’s notch but bailed due to old avalanche debris in the fan and a thin looking approach from Balu to the entrance. Ended up skinning up Balu pass towards 8812 and dropped into the bowl off the ridge where we found good but heavy snow and variable conditions

Dug a pit did a compression test and ECT. Had a failure CTE down 20cm RP that propagated on the ECT. Also had a non planar fracture CTH down 45cm no propagation. We were able to pry the back of the column and had planar failures down 65cm and 100cm.
