Just a day poking around Highwood Pass. Didn't really venture out beyond treeline. Saw the recent wind loading and scouring from a distance. Travel through the trees was early season low tide. Trying to avoid sharks and all the undergrowth still. Creeks are mainly flowing and bridges are starting to form but are still scarce and thin. Snow ranged from maybe 40cm depth to around 5cm. Was snowing lightly all day at around -8C with light wind from the southeast picking up to moderate later in the afternoon switching from the north all as the forecast had predicted. Driving down the Smith Dorrien in the morning it looked like a similar story with maybe less snow, though visibility was limited from the road.
