Snowpack
Snowpack depth averaged 40-50 centimeters. We Experienced numerous collapses, some of which were very loud and traveled far (200 ft+). Some wraparound terrain features onto slopes produced cracks but did not avalanche. All but the most sheltered slopes were wind affected and held a stiff four-finger to one-finger slab. The slab averaged 10-15 inches, and more in wind drifted areas. In sheltered and/or thinner snowpack areas, the snowpack continues to lack a slab. In these areas, the snowpack consists of cohesion-less, faceted snow. All open slopes were wind affected.
