Snowpack

On the ascent, observed a large variation in snow surfaces - sun crusts, wind hardened surfaces, and facets. Slope we descended was primarily a 3 inch breakable wind crust sitting on top of approximately 1.5-2 feet of facets.

Avalanche

I was last skier to descend the NE slope. First two turns were soft, third turn entered into wind crust and triggered a small slide. I fell back into the slope, but was not carried. Slide was approximately 10 feet wide, 3 inches deep, and slid on the interface of the wind hardened snow and the facets. Slide ran approximately 50 feet.
