Warm temperatures and sunny skies. Calm winds with an occasional gust from the southwest.

Snowpack

At tree line on a northeast-facing slope, the depth of the snowpack ranged from about 100 to 130 cm. The snow surface was moist and will likely leave another 1-2 cm crust. There is a 2-3 centimeter crust/facet combination at about 20 cm below the surface that produces moderate propagating results with Extended Column Tests, ECTP14. The majority of the snowpack is facets and depth hoar, with rounded grains only apparent in the upper third of the snowpack where warm temperatures seem to have reached down to. The mid and lower snowpack are still a cold and dry winter snowpack. ECT's produced another propagating result at about 50 cm from the ground on a barely distinguishable layer formed in he early season, depth hoar on depth hoar.
