Avalanche

A wet snow avalanche came down a narrow gully and deposited debris on the Rollins Pass Road, approximately 1.2 miles from the trailhead. Assume it happened some time during the afternoon of March 15. No tracks were seen in the area--mine were the first since the big snow on the 14th. The slide began in a narrow gully, then ran approximately 300', scouring to the ground in the last 100'. Debris field was about 40-50' across. Elevation was 9,850' on a directly south facing aspect. I forgot my camera in the car, so have no close ups of the slide path.
