Weather

Clear, sunny, intermittent passing clouds, very warm

Snowpack

8-12" new from Friday night, warmed very fast, roller balls by 9am, wet slides on easterly aspects by 11. Elevation was above 12k most of the morning, but wet slides were evident everywhere in the Castle Creek zone, usually on the dust layer, but not always.

Avalanche

roller balls stepping down into wet slides, lots of natural activity, and easy sluffing in a north couloir aspect which ran slowly much of the track and created a minimal deposition pile in the apron around 10:45am. Wet slides on the dust layer were everywhere after 10am. We left the valley around 1pm and I counted more than a dozen wet slides on eastern aspects.
