Cool (low 20s F), gray with light snow, moderate and increasing NE winds at approx. 13,000'

Avalanche

SE aspect above treeline near summit ridge (~13,100'), remote trigger by the first skier in our group dropping in to a wind-sheltered pocket. Cracking and a small shift in the snow around him but no more movement. Most of the SE face that was to the NE of him released. Appeared to only be the recent storm snow, soft slab, 20-25cm maximum crown, 15-20cm average (est.). 100m wide, ran 300m vertical (est.). Bed surface was bulletproof.
