Weather
Skies were obscured at times with light snow showers. The sun came out for periods and it felt very warm when the sun made an appearance.
Snowpack
Snow surfaces became moist on all aspects near and below treeline and on southerly slopes above treeline. We were able to start small Loose Wet avalanches on a northeast-facing near treeline slopes. These avalanches ran on a thin crust that formed yesterday and only involved the storm snow from Sunday night/Monday morning. We did not observed and storm snow instabilities whatsoever. Small Wind Slab avalanches were observed and we were able to trigger one small avalanche near ridgetop on a wind-loaded east-facing slope. The wind was continuing to build cornices and small slabs near ridgetop but once down 100 ft off the ridge, there was little evidence of slab formation.
