Weather

Warm and sunny May 4th. Passing low-level cumulus throughout the day, with a few moderate gusts out of the west.

Snowpack

The 5/1-5/3 storm cycle was significant for this part of the Front Range zone. Observed storm totals in the 16-22" range, with some settlement evident. Witnessed a widespread Loose Wet avalanche cycle today. Many steep east through south to southwest slopes avalanched naturally. Easy to trigger small to medium-sized Loose Wet avalanches on any slope steeper than about 38 degrees. Observed these avalanches at all elevations today.

Avalanche

Numerous small/medium-sized Loose Wet avalanches on east through southeast to southwest-facing slopes, all elevations - both natural and intentionally triggered.
