Weather
Overcast and raining up to ~12,500'. 38ËšF on top of RMP at 6:30 pm. Last hard freeze was on the morning of April 5th.
Snowpack
Overall the snowpack is isothermal and saturated from warm temps and rain. Cold high northerlies remain the outlier, but are now quickly transitioning. The snowpack visibly lost volume at all elevations today. Dust becoming more apparent on the surface. The snow is ablating very quickly and will continue to do so as more earth is exposed and albedo decreases with dust exposure.
Avalanche
Widespread wet loose avalanche cycle (mostly R1-2 D1-2). Slides ran on virtually all aspects and elevations, though the largest ran on higher elevation northerlies, that had not yet transitioned to isothermal. Most slides only entrained surface snow. No wet slabs observed.
