Weather
Warm and sunny, especially on the east aspect where I dug. Barely a breeze at ridgetop.
Snowpack
The upper 25cm of the snowpack on this side of the main bowl is a mixed bag of melt/freeze crusts, a small dense 10cm slab and a fresh layer of surface facets. Not an ideal structure for future storms but hard to say how connected these weak structure are through this terrain. Mid-pack is a stout 70 cm of 1F to Pencil hard slab. This is a solid base, but still rests above a weak melt/freeze crust 30cm off the ground that is faceted above and below. Stability tests had propagating results on this lower facet/crust combo and will be a layer of concern for the foreseeable future.
Avalanche
Only old debris piles were visible in this area
