Increasing wind affect and loading on isolated terrain features above treeline, windslabs becoming more reactive, failing on ground
Avalanche
Skier triggered soft slab/wind slab R1 D1 at about 12000’, NE aspect. Avalanche started along a wind loaded rocky feature, broke on ground, slid 300 feet. Crown line was limited to the isolated wind pocket, but it did entrain a fair amount of snow.
