cloudy skies. calm winds throughout tour. intermittent snow showers that increased back at dry lake trailhead around 5 pm. temps in low 20s that began cooling near end of tour. looked to be 20 cm of new snow in the past 24 hours.
Snowpack
HS 90 cm. dug pit on 28° NNW aspect @ 9420' BTL in exposed area with few trees. 2 CTs as follows: CTM (15) @ 40 cm down RP/Q2 CTM ((14) @ 40 cm down RP/Q2 both CT failures on F hardness facets just a few cm above 11/5 rain crust which is 5 cm thick in this zone 2 ECTs as follows: ECTPV @ 50 cm down ECTP20 @ 50 cm down both ECT failures on F hardness immediately above 11/5 rain crust
