Skies were clear in morning with few clouds moving in by mid-day. Temperature at noon at 9400ft was 25°. Wind was calm.
Snowpack
Dug multiple pits on NE and NNE facing terrain at 9625ft and 9425ft respectively. Both aspects were composed of surface hoar and decomposing fragments on the surface, decomposing fragments turning to mixed forms of rounds and rounding facets towards the mid-snowpack, and primarily facets making up the lower half of the snowpack, with the early November rain crust layer, about 20-30+ cm from the ground, sandwiched by those facets. Multiple ECTs fractured in the upper snowpack but did not propagate on the NE facing slope. Our ECT on the NNE facing slope did propagate about 25cm above the rain crust layer at the interface of faceted layers.
