Snowpack
It wasn't warm enough to rain as of 11am at 10,800 (precip was very light snow flurries) but the snow even in north facing stuff was super saturated.
Avalanche
We ski cut a little wind lip down the ridge from the main carbonate entrance and ended up trigger a smallish wet release that ran a couple hundred feet. It didn't steep down. We worked our way down the treed ridge and everything was super wet and moving short distances. Pretty large pinwheels but they dissipated fairly quickly and would entrain enough snow to move a little ways. Probably only the top 6" or so of snow was moving. Made our way to the road and looked back up and there were several fairly large point/wet releases in the main carbonate chute from the ridge line and adjacent slide paths. Found it very interesting that even north facing stuff was that saturated.
