Weather
Mostly cloudy and blustery with some periods of snowfall, followed by periods of weak sunshine trying to break through the cloud cover. Very little snow accumulation.
Snowpack
New snow from the past couple days has been redistributed by strong and steady south winds. Average new snow depth in undisturbed areas is 6", though drifts of 24"+ were noted in lee areas. Sunny southerly fetch slopes were stripped clear back to the old surface crusts that formed under recent warm temps. Lee slopes near and above treeline continue to actively load. New snow was bonded well to crusts on easterly slopes, but showed clean and easy shears on NSF below the crust in isolated column tests. Only very minor sluffing of surface snow on very steep northerly terrain below tl.
