Weather
Sunny, approximately 5°F, 20-30mph wind gusts from the west. SE aspect of Mt. Trelease, 11,940 ft.
Snowpack
Obvious wind loading, but no collapsing or shooting cracks. Didn't dig a pit. SE aspect of Mt. Trelease, 11,940 ft.
Avalanche
Shallow but wide wind slab released approximately 200-300 feet above my location. Crown depth 1-2 ft. Seemed to be triggered remotely after my first or second turn. The slide propagated across SE and E aspects- I would describe it as an R3D1.
