Weather
Mostly clear and sunny. High clouds drifted in and out during the day. The strong sun made it feel warmer than it was.
Snowpack
Slick, very hard wind slabs and intermittent breakable wind crusts dominated the snow surface in wind-exposed areas and above treeline. Most of the new snow had been scoured off of these slopes. Lower down, the new snow landed on 8-12" of low density mixed forms: rounds, decomposed and fragmented grains, and near-surface facets. We had one small collapse on a mid-pack weak layer, maybe 20' in diameter. Otherwise, no signs of instability, and no new avalanche activity observed.
