Snowpack

A dry facet layer still exists about 50 centimters below the surface on northeast-facing slopes at 12,200 feet, producing hard propagating extended column test results, ECTP24. The early February storm is still obvious on these slopes with a 10-15 centimeter thick layer of 3-5 mm dry to moist depth hoar below. The large depth hoar closer to the ground is well sintered and slightly moist, although ambient temperatures made it difficult to get accurate observations on crystals. Southwest slopes near treeline had snowpack depths up to 160 cm but only 120 in the waterholes (more due west). ECTN on the depth hoar 65cm off the ground. Deep Tap Test 30, and Propagating Saw Test 50/100.

Avalanche

Several small, wet loose avalanches and shallow wet slab avalanches near treeline on east-facing slopes in West Roaring Fork. Cornice fall pushed a wet avalanche above Linkins Lake on an easterly-facing slopes as well but didn't appear to gouge deep into the snowpack
