Weather
Intermittent sunshine broken with convective squalls, most precipitation fell as grupel until about noon, when a storm stalled over the area and dropped several inches very quickly. Winds were relatively calm but low clouds hindered visibility on the highest ridges
Snowpack
Wet avalanche issues did not materialize during the trip, intermittent sun warmed the snow surface enough to glob to skins but remained supportive. I was able to dig on adjacent slopes near several skier triggered avalanches (4/17), the buried facet layer that these avalanches failed on was stubborn/unreactive but still visible.
