Weather

Light breeze near treeline. Some snow moving onto easterly slopes along the crest of the Tenmile Range. Cold temps but pleasant in the sun.

Snowpack

Completely faceted snowpack to 12k feet on westerly slopes. I traveled in this same area on 12/3 and the snowpack has become much more unsupportable since that date. Some hard slab exists at the top of northerly facing slopes but I doubt the slab extends very far down the slope. I descended southwest and west-facing slopes and most open slopes had a thin supportable crust at the surface. As near-surface facets are likely forming on the crust, this could be an issue for future storms.
