On north-east aspect, snowline at about 5000ft, perhaps 30cm at 5500ft, 60-70cm from 6000-7000ft. Did lots of hand shear tests on all aspects between 6000-7000ft, and all showed surface hoar layer about 30cm from ground and another surface hoar layer about 20-25cm above that. Surface hoar growing on snow surface. +5 in sun on south facing slope at 7000ft and snow surface moist.
